What happens when a dining table actually isn't a dining table, but a estranged translation of a dining table?

After doing research from earlier theories from philosophers and artists like ; Ferdinand de Saussure, Immanuel Kant, Karl Marx, the first surrealists (Magritte, Man-Ray, Andre Beton etc. ) John Berger, Sigmund Freud, Copernicus, Descartes etc. I found out that the main question for myself was; the difference between the knowing object/subject and the reality and how people respond tho this . (based on theories from Kant in Ding an sich).

By taking a common object (knowing object) out of his relevant surroundings and placing it + translating it into things we know but different (reality).

My common object was the dining table, almost everyone has one back at home and several manifestations are happening while sitting at a dining table.
I took this dining table and translated into another dining table where absurd relationships between objects, people and the human mind where taking place.

After my exhibition I found out that the most interesting thing in this installation is the view of the audience on the object and the complete installation.
Every person has his own emotional memory / value with objects and situations so instantly we create this whole image + idea about the meaning of it.
By placing common objects against/next/around each other I created another reality which was based on the stories of my dining table visitors.
The common objects created a fast link with the visitor but the setting of this object created another reality which ultimately ends as a knowing object.

One of the elements in my installation was a sculpture which was created to start a conversation, it's a conversation piece. Because of all the earlier stories which were told people instantly thought that this sculpture was a story to. During the installation this sculpture was placed on a table , so the book (the installation) continued to be written with new stories during conversations.

The answer to my research question is ; that by using knowing objects, actions and memories we can create new meanings in a new reality. People feel connected with reality and the knowing objects, by misleading the objects you automatically mislead the human mind.

The first association of my installation is a dining table and the second association is the same but with different memories, standards and values.
